Caught and Released a Beautiful Southwest Florida Snook

Nice!!! We just went on charter out of placida, this morning. Caught a bunch of sheepshead, some ladyfish, and some spanish mackerel. It was a beautiful day.
I’ve never been fishing south of New York but everyone here is so into the Snook I could tell just by the tail. Might have to make a trip to see what all the fuss is about.
dig the username. one of the biggest fishing thrills I’ve had was watching a snook slurp a topwater plug fly (probably some random crab pattern my buddy Dan tied while stoned) in like 1995 on my first 8# (hand-me-down) Loomis GL2. Thanks Joe! Looks like that one was a beaut. I haven’t fished SW FL (Naples / Marco / 10Ki) in years, which is a crime since I’m like 90 min away.
