First bait caster

I’m sure it been asked a hundred times but I doing it again. Wanting to get my first bait caster, looking at the lews Mach smash combo. Good idea? Suggestions on better beginner setup for $150 range? It’s a bit overwhelming with so many choices and options with gear ratios and rod speeds and what not.
